I go on the internet by the name of Captain Jack. I am a Pick-up Artist.

What is a Pick-up Artist? A Pick-up Artist (or PUA, for short) is a person who has decided that they want to take a more systematic approach to getting better with the opposite sex.

They usually started off being terrible with women and dating… or, they could get women but NOT the kind of women they really wanted.

PUAs draw from a body of theories, tactics and techniques because we believe that Courtship follows a structure. By following that structure we get better results than simply leaving our male-female interactions to chance.

I’ve created this blog to show beginners (newbies aka rAFCs – “recovering Average Frustrated Chumps”) the very basics of picking up women.

I decided on the name, Captain Jack, because when I reconstructed my life I decided I would live more like a pirate than anything else… (sans stealing shit from ships). Women. Drink. Adventure. And, of course, Gold.

I’m now 33 years old. I make money in various ways. Writing ads. Creating simple websites that sell information. Consulting. And, helping other guys, who are in the same situation I WAS in, to get better with women.

I have two daughters. Abigail is 9 and Elizabeth is 7. Life is pretty good now. I can have many dates per week. A single girlfriend. Multiple girlfriends or even no girlfriend at ALL.

But, it wasn’t always that way. Here’s something I wrote a couple years ago about a turning point in my life…"
